Support the School
In any quality educational institution, tuition does not cover all operating costs; BHNS is no exception. In fact, tuition fees cover approximately 80% of the cost of a child's yearly enrollment; the rest of the operating costs rely on the fundraising efforts of our community. The Annual Fund and the Spring Auction are our two annual sources of those essential funds. The success of these fundraising efforts helps strengthen programs, upgrade the facilities, and ensure our future through a healthy endowment. The quality of our school attracts experienced and highly qualified teachers which obviously supports and strengthens our existing programs. In addition, we are committed to a robust Financial Aid program and our community benefits greatly from being able to offer generous financial assistance to many BHNS families.
Annual Fund
Our most important fundraising effort is our Annual Fund. The Annual Fund is launched in October and continues throughout the school year. While we receive gifts from alumni, grandparents and friends, most of our donations come from our current population. Each year we strive for 100% participation and value any level of contribution. Strong participation shows confidence in the leadership and mission of the school. Every gift, regardless of size, is important; while there is a targeted fundraising amount in each yearly budget, the cohesiveness and strength of our community is the ultimate goal.
Spring Auction
This year's Auction will be held on Saturday April 7th at the Four Seasons Hotel. In addition to being an important money maker, it is also a great social affair. Our talented 6 co-chairs are already working hard to make the event a success. It is an amazing effort that very often involves all of the community in various ways--from donations of silent and live auction items to volunteer duties before, during, and after the event to simply enthusiastic participation during a wonderfully fun evening!
