EXTENDED DAY
EARLY DROP-OFF
8:15am - 8:30am
BHNS offers an early drop-off program for families of children who need an early start. Children enrolled in early drop-off can be brought to their classrooms starting at 8:15am.
Children can be enrolled for the entire year (see Tuition page) or participate on a drop-in basis at a rate of $20 per day.
VACATION PROGRAMS
February & April Vacation
BHNS offers vacation programs during February and April school vacation. Half-day programs are offered for Toddlers, Preschoolers, and Junior Kindergarteners from 8:30am-1:00pm with the option to enroll in early drop-off starting at 8:15am.
KALEIDOSCOPE
12pm - 3:30pm
Kaleidoscope is a mixed-age class for our Preschool children. The daily schedule begins with lunch (brought from home), then a short story time, followed by a rest period. The curriculum includes opportunities for free play, group activities, and active outdoor exploration. Children also participate in different special subjects such as Music and Puppetry. Children may enroll for any number of days per week or drop-in, space permitting.
RAINBOW
12pm - 5:45pm
Rainbow is a mixed-age class for our Preschool and Junior Kindergarten children who need a full-day program. The daily schedule includes lunch (brought from home), rest time, and a snack later in the afternoon. Rainbow also includes opportunities for free play, group activities, and active outdoor exploration. Weather permitting, children explore and play on our outdoor playscapes twice per afternoon. Children also participate in different special subjects such as Music and Puppetry. Children may enroll for any number of days per week or drop-in, space permitting.
JK DISCOVERY
M-TH 2:30pm - 3:30pm F 12pm-3:30pm
The Discovery Program for our Junior Kindergarten students runs from Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-3:30pm and Fridays from 12pm-3:30pm. Children will start with an afternoon snack (brought from home) and then engage in a 45 minute activity. The longer afternoon on Friday includes extended activity time and weather permitting, outside time on one of the playscapes. On Mondays the children will have music, Wednesdays will be puppetry, and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday will have a STEAM focus. Children may enroll in any number of days, but it is encouraged that if you are interested in the STEAM program, to enroll in Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Drop-ins welcome, space permitting.
All JK students enrolled in extended day will begin their afternoon together in Discovery. If a JK student requires care past 3:30pm, they will join the mixed-age preschool group in Rainbow which provides programming until 5:45pm. Families needing care past 3:30pm should enroll in Rainbow.
