THANK YOU for supporting BHNS.
Why we fundraise at BHNS and how we do it:
As with most independent schools, we rely on our fundraising to supplement tuition income as part of our annual budget. This year, BHNS will raise funds in two major ways –
the Annual Fund and Auction Gala. We also invite our community to support our special Capital Campaign.
Our goal as a school is to make giving back feel good and a commitment worth making.
We thank you for your support of our Annual Fund, Auction Gala and Capital Campaign this year.
Any and all support is valued, no gift is too small.
ANNUAL FUND & AUCTION GALA
Your support of the Annual Fund allows for our classroom sizes to remain small and our student-teacher ratios to remain uncommonly low, empowers us to retain and recruit top talent in our teaching staff, supports our robust financial aid program and enables us to continue to operate in our amazing urban location. The school has most recently achieved 100% participation from board and faculty/staff and 92% from current families. Your support is the reason we are able to bridge the gap between the cost of basic school operations and the exceptional quality that has become a tenet of the BHNS experience since 1955.
All donors who make an Annual Fund gift at the $3,500 level and above are welcomed into the Roots and Wings Leadership Circle for their generous support of Beacon Hill Nursery School. Roots and Wings Leadership Circle Donors are recognized at an event in the Spring of each year.
BHNS Auction Gala - Friday, April 28, 2023
This April we will also host the BHNS Auction Gala live and in-person! This is an important community building and fundraising event for the school. Families can participate by bidding on items and/or by donating items to be auctioned. The Auction Gala is a special event for the BHNS community and is a lot of fun!
For the first time since the inception of BHNS in 1955, we now own our very own space at 180 Cambridge Street at the corner of Joy Street - just two doors down from the school.
With an extensive renovation to make the space our own, our new building will include a library and community space on the ground floor and administrative offices and a dedicated BHNS conference room on the floor below. Whether gathering a class for a family guest reader, giving parent volunteers a meeting space for event planning, or providing a venue for faculty collaboration, this new building creates multiple opportunities for our BHNS community to come together.
Converting our previous library at 74 Joy Street to a new classroom has been an exciting extension of this project. This is a major milestone for the school giving us greater enrollment flexibility and the opportunity to serve more children and families.
Please join us in supporting this very special project at the school this year and come Join Us at the Corner of Joy!
