Beacon Hill Nursery School

THANK YOU for supporting BHNS.

Why we fundraise at BHNS and how we do it:

As with most independent schools, we rely on our fundraising to supplement tuition income as part of our annual budget. This year, BHNS will raise funds in two major ways –

the Annual Fund and our special Capital Campaign.

Our goal as a school is to make giving back feel good and a commitment worth making.

We thank you for your support of our Annual Fund and our Capital Campaign this year.

Any and all support is valued, no gift is too small.

Your support of the Annual Fund allows for our classroom sizes to remain small and our student-teacher ratios to remain uncommonly low, empowers us to retain and recruit top talent in our teaching staff, supports our robust financial aid program and enables us to continue to operate in our amazing urban location.  The school has most recently achieved 100% participation from board and faculty/staff and 92% from current families. Your support is the reason we are able to bridge the gap between the cost of basic school operations and the exceptional quality that has become a tenet of the BHNS experience since 1955.

This year we will also host the BHNS Online Auction in late winter. This is an important fundraising event for the school. Families can participate by bidding on items online and/or by donating items to be auctioned. The Online Auction is a special event for the BHNS community and is a lot of fun!

For the first time since the inception of BHNS in 1955, we now own our very own space at 180 Cambridge Street at the corner of Joy Street - just two doors down from the school.

180 Cambridge Street is a space that will bring us together as a community and community is at the heart of who we are at BHNS.

In this new building, we are excited about new opportunities for our community to come together. We imagine our children potentially enjoying a music or library class, our teachers meeting to talk about curriculum, teaching, and learning, and our families gathering to plan community-building events like the Pumpkin Decorating Party and January Jammies. This new space will also allow for our Admissions, Development, and Business Offices to be all in one place, next to the school, where now every faculty and staff member can be together on the corner of Joy Street and Cambridge Street.

Please join us in supporting this very special project at the school this year and come Join Us at the Corner of Joy!
