Why we fundraise at BHNS and how we do it:
As with most independent schools, we rely on our fundraising to supplement tuition income as part of our annual budget. This year, BHNS will raise funds in two major ways –
the Annual Fund and Auction Gala.
Our goal as a school is to make giving back feel good and a commitment worth making.
We thank you for your support of our Annual Fund and Auction Gala this year.
Any and all support is valued, no gift is too small.
ANNUAL FUND
Your support of the Annual Fund allows for our classroom sizes to remain small and our student-teacher ratios to remain uncommonly low, empowers us to retain and recruit top talent in our teaching staff, supports our robust financial aid program and enables us to continue to operate in our amazing urban location. The school consistently achieves 100% participation from board and faculty/staff and over 90% from current families. Your support is the reason we are able to bridge the gap between the cost of basic school operations and the exceptional quality that has become a tenet of the BHNS experience since 1955.
All donors who make an Annual Fund gift at the $3,500 level and above are welcomed into the Roots and Wings Leadership Circle for their generous support of Beacon Hill Nursery School. Roots and Wings Leadership Circle Donors are recognized at a special event in the Spring of each year celebrating our leadership donors and the impact of your support.

AUCTION GALA
Each spring, we host our BHNS Auction Gala. This is an important community building and fundraising event for the school.
There are a myriad of ways to support our Auction Gala beyond purchasing your tickets. Families can participate by donating or purchasing silent auction items, bidding during the live auction portion of the evening, and sponsoring our event which underwrites our costs and ensures all faculty and staff can join in on the fun!
Along with the Auction Gala for the grown-ups of our community, we host the Auction Pre-Party for Kids and Families so our children are included in this exciting time of the year, too! At the party, children and families dance, make crafts, enjoy refreshments, and we announce our winners of our annual raffle!

Michael R. Coppola Professional Development Fund
This fund is dedicated in loving memory of Michael and his passion for supporting teachers. Thank you for honoring Michael's legacy of nearly two decades as an exceptional educator and mentor and for continuing his profound impact on countless teachers and children.
Michael will live on in our hearts and in our work at The Beacon Hill Nursery School forever. By supporting this fund in his name, you join us in sustaining his memory and the professional development efforts about which he cared so deeply.
