FAMILIES

LET'S GET INVOLVED!

Our community of parents is vibrant and active. There are many opportunities to be involved at BHNS as a volunteer or participant. Whether it be reading a book to your child’s class, volunteering at one of our school-wide events led by the PTP (Parent Teacher Partnership) or taking a leadership role as a class parent or in our development efforts throughout the year. There are a myriad of ways to get involved. Many families express that through volunteering at BHNS, they have developed friendships that last well beyond their family’s time at BHNS.

BHNS hosts special events throughout the year. From the Pumpkin Decorating Party to the Skating Party and the Spring Auction Gala to Guest Speakers, there are many ways to participate.

PTP (Parent Teacher Partnership)

The BHNS Parent Teacher Partnership (PTP) is a committee comprised of BHNS parents, teachers and administrators, that supports our school and its educational goals by facilitating community building for families and staff. The PTP seeks to achieve its mission both by supporting parent enrichment opportunities at school, and also by sharing ideas and practices that families can take beyond the classroom. “Community” is a central principle of the Reggio Emilia approach, and the PTP aims to promote the involvement of parents, who are a vital component of the BHNS community.
