Our First Green Room Friday!
We had a fantastic Friday in the Green room! We are continuing to practice our new routines and getting more familiar with them each day. Today we continued to practice keeping materials in the spaces where they belong, and we also introduced some new rules such as having only 3 friends playing in the loft at a time. We are so proud of our Green Room friends!
During choice time, we continued to engage with this week's provocations and we also read so many books!
We saw something exciting on the playground today! In the fire station's parking lot, we saw a big pump truck. At first, we weren't quite sure what was happening. But after waving to the firemen, Cam asked "What are you doing!" and one of the kind firemen explained to use that they were pumping water out of a storm drain. He said the tube coming out of the truck that went all the way into the hole in the ground was like a big vacuum sucking the water out and into the tank of the truck. We even got to see them finish the job, take the tube apart, and reattach it to the side of the truck. This special moment sparked great excitement and conversation among the children throughout playground time!
Have a great weekend and see you next week!
