Color of the week: ORANGE
Orange Collages
We have a new color of the week! Yay! A new color of the week means some new collages! Friends were offered orange paper with pumpkin stickers, pompoms, pipe cleaners, cut up popsicle sticks and cut up metallic orange paper! We love seeing how these collages progress over the weeks and the different choices children make with all the different materials.
Question Of The Day
Today's question of the day was... Which orange food do you like more, carrots or oranges? Ms. Carly called up our friends today by showing everyone a name tag and telling us the first letter on the name tag (ex: "This friend's name starts with the letter C!"). Looking at our name tags while being told the different letters helps us practice our letter identification skills! Once we had our results, Ms. Carly drew lines next to our name tags that were up on the board and we talked about which line was LONGER and which one was SHORTER. This helped us figure out which side had MORE name tags and which side had LESS. We use so much awesome math vocabulary during our Question of the Day!
Sharing All About Me Books
Another friend got to share their All About Me Book with the class today! At second meeting, Charlie came up in front of the class with Ms. Amy and shared his book with our friends. We then had time for friends to ask questions or make comments about their book. This is such a wonderful time to practice having whole group discussions!
