Wednesday 9/16
Happy Wednesday, Purple Room Families!
Color of the Week: Red

Collaborative Art Project
Today at the big table, Purple Roomers were invited to do a collaborative red art project! We put out red crayons, oil pastels, paint sticks, markers, and stickers. Purple Roomers were invited to come over and sit and add to the creation! Working together on a collaborative art piece like this gives students a chance to practice teamwork as they share ideas and make creative choices together. Using a variety of materials encourages flexibility and experimentation, all while showing students the value of working together to create something beautiful!

Question Of The Day
Today's question of the day was:Are you wearing red? Yes or No? We counted up the votes to determine which answer got more votes. Today there was a tie! We practiced showing 6 on our fingers, one hand with 5 fingers, other hand with 1.

Second Meeting
Today at second meeting, our very first Purple Room friend got to share their All About Me book: Corinne! She came up to the front of the meeting, sat in a chair and shared her book with us! Ms. Amy helped her read the words, and she added details about the pictures. After she was done presenting, children got to raise their hands if they had a connection, and Corinne called on them (just like a teacher!) For example, Ben raised his hand to say that he also likes to visit the Frog Pond, which led to us learning that so many other friends like to visit there too!
